globe taking the same English-To-Go.com Instant Lesson.
This year's World's Largest Lesson will be 15

available and teachers continue to teach it.

Please send any comments to us at wll@english-to-go.com.

Dear English-To-Go.com staff,
We have been happy to study all the materials you offered
during this week and especially today. The students of Khmelnitskiy
National University, in the Ukraine, have participated in
your World's Largest Lesson on Landmines. There was a lively
discussion during the lesson, which took place on May 26,
2005 at 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. local time (Kyiv). The students
expressed their ideas concerning the growing danger of landmines
in postwar times around the world. Thanks again and again
for the opportunity given and for the well-prepared materials
for teaching and learning English.

Dear English To Go team,
We conducted the WLL yesterday. The students and teachers enjoyed
it, many of them were doing it for the first time. “It was a
very interesting and unusual lesson, we would like to know more
about the landmines, and how to solve this problem”, said 6th
graders. In fact, they asked their teachers to continue the
lesson the next day, so as to learn more about the problem,
and they also wish to know why ETG conducts the WLL. Our school
headmistress came to the Internet-class in the morning. Addressing
the children and teachers, she said: “It is a big event in which
our school takes part every year. It is a celebration of cooperation
and good will, and it shows you that the opportunities for communication
with the help of ICT are really great”. We took pictures, and
sent in confirmations. It is a really good opportunity to show
our students that English is not only an international language,
it can be used for solving very real problems.

At Active Institute we have a tapestry of cultures and everybody
enjoyed the lesson. Some of the students are from countries
where there are still landmines and they talked about them
to the rest of the class. Most enjoyable lesson. Thank you.

Here are some
photos of our combined Intermediate / Upper Intermediate
classes doing work on the Landmine lesson. They made posters
after completing the lesson which were taken to the final
assembly for the term, then were displayed on the main
notice-board near reception for everyone to see. We had
a great lesson, and everyone really got into it.
